Description

This course is designed to inform new police officers or detectives as to what may be expected and required by law in what has to be done when it comes to crime scene investigation. The importance must be understood for good management and investigative skills to allow proper evidence processing with minimal contamination. This course will be a hands on training workshop that will teach the First Officer and New Detective to process his/her own scene’s and obtain the maximum amount of evidence in cases that don’t require a full blown team of Forensic Examiners. This course will cover topics such as, Crime Scene Management, Fingerprint Processing and Collection, Forensic Digital Photography, Marking and Packaging Evidence, Laboratory Submittal, and much more. Each student will leave the class with their own starter fingerprint kit so they can process scenes as soon as they leave the training
