Description

This course is designed to teach the Basic Crime Scene Officer, the Types of fingerprint evidence you may encounter on any type of crime scene. In this class you will become familiar with the different classifications and characteristics of fingerprints whether they be Visible or latent. This class is a hands on class with extensive practical application in the development and recovery of Fingerprint evidence. This course will teach you how to recover fingerprints from surfaces most people never thought could be done. Rough textured surfaces, wet surfaces, etc. This course will cover digital photography techniques for 1;1 fingerprint photography, color inversion and reverse images. As well as low light conditions such as use with an Alternate Light Source with the use of filters and computer software. This course will cover Superglue Techniques as well as non-conventional methods and how we are affected today with the advancements of DNA into fingerprint recovery. All equipment will be provided at no extra charge to the students.
