Description

This course is presented as an extensive two or three day presentation targeting Patrol Officers and Investigators in the art of Property Crimes, Burglary and Robbery Investigation. There is no prerequisite for prior training or experience but some field exposure to the specific crimes is recommended. Understanding the personality traits of the specific criminals and how it factors into their methods and motives is a priority in the development of investigation direction and patterns in Burglary and Robbery. An awareness of human nature and basic common sense are the two key elements needed in profiling specific criminals, identifying their patterns and trade marks and apprehending them. Presented in a real application approach, this course will become a basis for future investigative efforts and provide a solid working knowledge of Burglars and Hold Up suspects and their motives. Information provided will enable the investigator to take on a pro active approach to apprehension and have the ability to expand the scope of their investigations to the lengths necessary to have a successful solution. This training is supplemented with multiple actual Burglary and Robbery Crime in Progress videos and actual case studies. Several recent high profile cases will be presented for class interaction and discussion of methods used and lessons learned.
