This course is a hands on workshop dedicated to conventional and digital imaging and enhancement to include, fool proof storage and integrity to prevent unauthorized alteration of crime scene photographs.

This Crime Scene Photography two day “hands on” course is designed for the new and experienced investigators and crime scene personnel who are already familiar with conventional and digital technology or eager to enter the digital age.

This course will focus on difficult photography techniques to include, extreme low light situations, Alternate Light Source photography techniques, Luminol, Flour-Scene, sexual assault protein stains, blood detection etc.

The use of modern day digital equipment will greatly enhance your photography, development, and storage capabilities.

Digital camera nomenclature and operation along with proper exposure techniques:

  • Flash photography techniques
  • Low light photography
  • 1:1 exposure
  • Flash lighting techniques
  • Computer / CD / other storage
  • Photo Shop / Digital Cop Software
  • Digital photo printers

This course will make each student better understand and apply techniques used in the digital age by using down to earth terminology and by integrating the use of cameras, printers, and PCs into the class room so the student will be able to understand how to use their cameras and use computer software to make presentations for court that are legally excepted.

This course will also cover State and Federal laws pertaining to the use and admissibility of digital evidence in court proceedings.

Course involves extensive practical application, to include low light and night-time conditions.

Each student will get extensive hands on training using all equipment and software to fully duplicate real life situations
